Has anyone played with one of these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/173917690844
I like the audio in the D3, but not a big fan of the navigation unit and was wondering about replacing it with one of these. It's an Android add-on unit that fits in the place of the sat nav screen, meaning I can rip that out and have all the Android goodness in a neat package.
But it's the only one of its type, and I wondered if anyone had any actual experience with one? £500 is a lot to spend on a maybe, it's not like it's a fully featured Pioneer or Alpine head unit.

A number of people have fitted Android Tablets to D3's.
You will have to send some time searching the forum. I have found one thread to start you off:-

Others may be able to help by directing you to similar threads.
Good luck

No, not picked one of those up. Been looking into slim android 2-din units (which ought to fit in that space) and also tempted by the idea of hooking up and using the sat-nav screen as a display (chucking an rPi in there).
I'll post up if I decide to spend any cash and do the work.
