Annual travel ins recommendations pls
Got to renew my annual travel insurance. I've used Trailfinders for a few years but renewal at £145 is a bit ouch. Only complications are it must cover sailing holiday in Carribean (hence worldwide) and me driving up to N Norway & back to watch the reindeer.
Any suggestions out there?
TIA

I use a paid bank account and use the Travel Insurance provided. It gives better cover than a lot of separate travel company policies especially for diving etcJoined the BMWX5 45e group

Change of bank account isn't an option I'm afraid. Looking at failed flight connection side of things, difficult to find. Hiscox do but no cover for sailing with what I'll be doing so binned. Coverwise (underwritten by AXA) under the spotlight at the mo.

Do you sail as skipper/crew or passenger?

Crew, skippering is way too much like responsibility.
Wouldn't want to put a dent in this old girl.

Getting somewhere. Axa travel/Swiftcover cover missed connection (nightmare scenario LIAT decide to cancel my flight from Tortola to Antigua where I'll be flying back to the UK from) then I'll have 5k cover (hate to think what a CW ticket is booked the day before) to sort out the fall out. Plus yachting (as opposed to sailing) can be extended to specifically cover outside terretorial waters, which would be that case if we headed E from BVIs to Anguilla and points south. Or down to St Croix in USVIs. And all about 2/3s the cost of Trailfinders for lot better cover.
