Another air suspension problem
I bought my -05 D3 TDV6 a month ago with a issue on the air suspension. It was working OK, but sometimes the amber light went on, and sometime the red with a 30 mph was alight. On the 4x4-screen the rear right was always way down when the warning lights was on. A guy did scan the faults and he got this on the EAS:
C1A75 - Rear right sensor
C1A13 - Pressure does not decrease
C1A03 - Front left sensor
C1A03 - Front right sensor
CIA06 - Right rear sensor
CIA07 - Cross Acilation
I inspected the sensors, and discovered some very bad wires/connections. Ordered and replaced all sensors. Ordered and changed 2 connectors (right front and rear)
I checked the wires from Air Control Module to the sensors by measure them
But, after this operation, BOTH rear sensors are not working acording to the 4x4 screen and the red light is on all the time with the 30 mph alarm, and the compressor/system are not working at all. What have I done wrong?? Is there a fuse in the ACM I have shorted when replacing the sensors??
And to make it clear, I tested the system before replacing left rear sensor, and it was the same problem.
Another issue I discovered was that PO had replaced and worked on the system, and put a sensor on the wrong side of the car (rear right was black, not white as it should)

Have you calibrated the suspension after changing the sensors ??
Are all the wheels and tyres good - pressures good, even wear all round ??

No. I have not been able to calibrate the sensors, yet. But I have dismantled the sensor with wires connected so I can rotate the sensors to any position, but it makes no difference to the 4x4-screen. I am thinking that if the sensors are out of range, it should be possible to just turn the sensors to any position required to get in range for the ACM to show on the screen

All should be ok when you calibrate the sensors.

That would be great. Today a dude is coming with a pc to see the alarm codes. I guess he can not calibrate, but will check. If not I must get it done another way

The dude was here and connected a laptop to the obd2 port. He could only read codes, not calibrate the sensor. The fault code was U0421

Had the car at the stealer today for calibration of the sensors. They calipere the wires for left rear sensor was done incorrectly. Those wires was done at a garage before I bought the car, and was working. I told them to fin it temporarly, so I could finish that my self after I picked up the car.
I am not sure what they have done to the car, but now the suspension is working, exept the right rear. So I still got the amber light in the dash. They claimed the rear right sensor was broken, maybe (like most garages they just change parts until everything is ok ) A new sensor had to be ordered, and cost 200 £ + 150£ for changing it I think a new order from UK are on the agenda...
However, the fault codes now are:
C1A06-1C - Right rear height sensor - circuit voltage out of range
U0421-68 - Invalid data recived from suspension control module A
C1A71-1C - Right rear height sensor supply - circuit voltage out of range
The sensor is new, but might be broken in a way. So I will order a new (from UK ), just in case. What Else could the problem be?? I have measured the wires and know they are OK

Might be worth a look on ebay as there was a land rover dealer doing all four height sensors for 29.99 gbp delivered uk.

I will probably order from island4x4 as I wwant a IIDTOOL in the same shipment. The stealer takes 180£ for a scan of the codes, so it will pay back fast I guess
Here is a picture of my 4x4-screen as of today

Finally I found the fault. A fellow D3 owner helped me with his Nanocom. After connecting it up, he could read the voltage for the sensors. The EAS module sent out voltage, but did not receive from rear right sensor. We jacked the car up and measured on the sensor. No volt!!
Followed the wires to the connection on the left side of frame. Someone had cable tied the connection block together. Cut the tie, a little wiggle and we had connection to the sensor
The connector is broken after someone have bodged with the sensors earlier. Can someone please tell me the part number, ballpark price and where to get a new one?? I will not buy anything from my local stealer as they clearly just want to my wallet. I Called the stealer to confront them with my 15 minutes of work (with help from a friend) compared with their 5 hours, but no luck

Have you sorted out this out yet vegar? Is it the Male or the Female connector you need?
Male connector part number : YPC906520
Female Connecotr part Number : YPC906500

Hi vegar !
I've the same problem on my D4. Rear right corner sensor is well supplied (4.9 V) but signal is at 0 V whatever the position of the arm lever. I suspected a connection problem around the line connector (C0376 / C0390) but I can't see where it is. I think it's the one you show on your picture, so can you tell me how to access it, please ?
Thanks in advance.

Thread is 8 years old, sometimes people move on!
The connector you're looking for is on top of the N/S chassis rail behind the wheel. There is a supposedly plastic protection cover which you need to open to reveal the harness plugs.
Don't open them if it can be helped unless you have the tool to recalibrate the suspension. You're looking for wire damage, particularly chips to the cables which becomes very obvious if the exposed copper wire has suffered "greening".
You need to be very thorough, so clean carefully before inspection.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Thanks a lot for your help, and sorry to have re-open an old thread...
As I can understand, this connector should be on the chassis behind a wheel, but what do you mean as "N/S" ? Is it right side or left side ? Behind a rear wheel, I guess, but behind toward the centre or toward the rear ? Could it be near the rear valves block, where I had a brake fluid leak recently ?
Thanks again.
