What a useful thread!!
Went in for 2 new tyres this morning but no joy as two locking wheel nuts aren't spinning- they're seized solid.
Any tips for this scenario? Currently bathing regularly in WD40.

Mine were seized. I broke them using a breaker to get them loose. The locking wheel nut gave up before the tension did.
I'm not sure how to work around it but do let me know if you manage. I suspect I'm going to have the same issue on the front. Maybe try penetrating oil rather than WD and some heat?

Got there in the end! Think half the problem was the tyre place and their unwillingness to use anything more than an air gun to try it.
A regular squirting of WD, a long breaker bar, beating the socket with a hammer while hanging off the end of the breaker bar and they're off.
Also suffering with swollen nuts (replaced them all about 3 years ago but clearly time for another set).

They ought to know better than that! Aren't we all told not to ever use any sort of gun on lockers?

If you consider your options atleast they can be replaced affordably
No regrets replacing my lockers... yet.All the best,

Full set of nuts on order and not a locker in sight!
Foolishly booked into a national chain for ease, now realise why I hadn't and won't do anything else with them.

I got rid of my locking wheel nuts almost as soon as I got my D4!
I think they are a real pia. I will just buy a new set of wheel nuts every couple of years or so, and trust that the alloys on my 2010MY, which would benefit from a refurbish, are most unlikely to be stolen at present.
I suppose there is always the chance the wheels could be stolen for the new tyres, but I’ve no idea how likely that is.
Might take a different view if or when I do get the wheels refurbished of course…..I’m a Disco 4 believer. What a vehicle!
