Some interesting points here, my experience as follows:

1. I do have a lot of corrosion on the brake discs which I noticed after I brought the vehicle and will be mentioning when I go in for the 15K service.

2. A couple of weeks ago I was driving at low speed and noticed a really loud squeeking sound coming from the wheels. It hasn't done this since then.

3. Yesterday morning I put the key in, started the engine after diags and 'ping'. Then I got a second 'ping'. About 1 hours (45 miles) later I got a Park Brake Failure message and the amber warning light. Stopped, turned the engine off, restarted and the fault cleared.

Sad

I had these exact problems, the dealers told me that the PB error was caused by faulty wiring loom - haven't had any problems since!
The squeaking was supposedly caused by grit...but I have a sneaky suspicion that its rust particles...it still squeaks occasionally too.

Mine has been in the dealers 5 times now since August for the amber warning light on the dash. I really believe they have no idea what the problem is. So far they have replaced the wiring harness twice and last week they said that it was caused by the computer not knowing which gear the car is in and therefore throws up a error. The solution was to stick it on the ramp and set the gear selection again and put WD11 in. Two days later? Your guessed it, another Amber light. Am waiting for the dealer to call back!! Last time I waited to see how long it would take and two weeks later I gave up and called them, will wait till Thursday this week then remind them that I still am there.

The amber light always comes on during a gear change and generally when it is wet outside.

Never got any amber lights or warning messages with mine just the squeal when I applied the brake, looks like could be two separate issues here.
