Anti-Roll bar bushes / Suspension Bushes |
|
I had some work done on my Disco 3 some months ago, to have the front suspension bushes replaced. All Seemed fine.
I have recently had anti-roll bar bushes and tie-rods changed as part of a service and have had 'knocking' from the NSF wheel ever since.
Took it back to the garage this morning (who did the anti-roll bar work) and they have said that the suspension bush bolts have been incorrectly fitted. Is this something that would have been removed and refitted as part of the roll bar bush change / tie-rod end change ...
Would like to know if I should pursue the garage that did the most recent work, or the ones that did the original suspension bush changes, otherwise its £184 of money to rectify poor workmanship.

I would say the garage that did the suspension arm bushes. They fitted them with the arm fully dropped, if you do this they get twisted and overstressed resulting in them failing. Is there some oil like substance coming out of the bushes? “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

The reason for the bushes being changed initially was due to signs of wear / leakage, to my knowledge that was not seen this time around, just that the bolts had been incorrectly fitted and were catching the side wall of the wheel/tyre
Thanks
