has anybody used products that seal punctures

Listen, carefull not to advertise, but just wondering whether anyone uses " thixotropic water and glycol based tyre safety product designed to seal punctures as they happen" in your disco tyres or caravan/trailer.

Looking at the idea of putting it in mine and the enclosed car transporter wheels, had an instance a few months ago whereby we got a puncture on the trailer on a busy friday afternoon, birmingham M6, with a masserati on board, right pain in the backside. Laughing

ps DG, if you would allow me to put the thread on for people to getting a better understanding of what we're talking about Thumbs Up

You can post a link to products of a company to provide beneficial information to other users... providing you have no relationship with the company in any way.

Yes, have had it in my caravan tyres for years and use it in my vehicle. Before you ask I don't know whether I've had a puncture . I have purposely punctured an old tyre with a 6mm spike and it sealed ok and stayed fully inflated. Have seen it seal bigger punctures as well

It was this one http://www.tyreguard.eu/

I have not used that product but I have used Ultraseal which does the same thing. I use it in my motorbike tyres as I live in fear of a front tyre blow-out at high speed. A friend uses it for enduro bike racing and has had six thorns right through one tyre at end of three day event and lost no tyre pressure at all. It was also recommended for BMW GS owners. The product is easy to install, comes is packs for cars as well and I buy it from this very dodgy looking website. Delivery has been very quick.

Another Thumbs Up for ultraseal. I have bought mine for years from the Kent franchise. Have his details somewhere but sure google will be quicker.

Top product, got it in the motorbike as I'm not pushing a motorbike through the alps to the next garage. Also in the rally car, where I have to say it has been outstanding.

Not got round to dropping any in the Disco - but that's 'cos I don't pay for the tyres Laughing

d'you know what, the more I read the text on these different sites, the more I realise that the product is the same, have it be with different packaging, just need to confirm the optimum speed its safe for bearing in mind the disco's top end of a cillion miles per hour, but will be buying it for me trailer and those tyre pressure indicators, shame they only go up to 90psi, mine on the transporter are rated at max of 95 psi Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

I have some plant equipment I use a similar product called 'OKO' in and also put it in the plant trailers etc. Its a great product for offroad punctures, has its limits but I've noticed hole causd by nails and suchlike having been sealed by this product.

Its not suitable for type presure monitoring kit, and not recommended for hi speed applications, have had it in both Hi-lux's though with no issues

looking at it from a proffessional point of view, www.safetyre.co.uk seem to have alot more info about the product and claim that their product is being used by The Royal Mail, is there anyone that work for them that can confirm!!! Thumbs Up

also seem to be up to date with an online shop and all the correct company reg numbers, vat numbers as the law suggest on websites these days

They are one and the same !! Ultraseal being the old brand name - hence why the other sites are more up to date.
I have a bottle of both, logo's everything the same . . . .

Just goes to show you the effect of marketing Laughing

mmmmm, me thinks a wee telephone call to RM head office might be in order to varify the claim, but to be honest, if others here have used it, seems a shame not to follow Rolling with laughter

Will be ringing them up on Monday to see if we can get a group discount or free delivery or something, does anyone know how to put up a header for expression of interest from other site members Bow down

Sounds an advance on the sugar and water I used to use in my teeenage bicycle tyres.

Has anyone had problems with wheel balance when using this stuff?
