Anyone heading to NZ?

Then get yer NZeTA done before the end of this month as the tourist levy/tax is going up from NZ$35 to NZ$100. Apply now and it lasts 2 years. It doesn’t look like the “visa” fee is going up (NZ$17 through the app) though. Thumbs Up

As Tesco like to say, every little helps. Or as SWMBO says, better in her pocket than theirs. Laughing

Supposedly the extra money is going to fund infrastructure and conservation in the tourist hotspots. The cynic in me says its a money grab by the Government. Hopefully it won't put too many tourist off.

DSL when are you coming to NZ? If you are ever in the Taranaki, I'd appreciate some advice on secure storage of firewood.
Cheers Blake

Agreed, the planet’s not large enough! Laughing Laughing

Will be there from Mid Dec to Mid Jan, will wave in the direction of Taranaki when we head from Auckland to Wellington on the train.

Re the tourist tax, it does get annoying when there is a tax taken at every border, or so it feels. Just done the US ESTA and the Aussie ETA is still free (so their website insists), but there is a A$21 fee. But the ETA is free. Rolling Eyes It’s not that they are unaffordable, just annoying and means we have less to put into the economy directly.
