You could get the v505 that do'es the same but has 4.7" screen and that would fit in dash...

I don't know about in the dash, I prefer to be seeing what I am looking at straight on, not at an angle, I have tried setting mine facing straight back but it just seems daft.
I personally think the LR satnav is way behind the times now, you can't use it in another vehicle and upgrade as and when you want, you are tied to them. My choice was to get something that suited me and I did, the TV is very clear and a bonus although I think we have only ever watched it once.
Anyone with a garmin or tom tom more than likely face it at themselves, so maybe it is a natural thing to do

my garmin sits in hole fine no problems no need to look as it speaks to me bit like second wife with no hassle.
