Anyone recomend 4X4 wheel alignment in Manchester area ?

Looking for somewere in Manchester area who do proper 4x4 wheel alignment ( and hopefully not cost a packet )

Have a major issue with the rears ...new tyres not been on long and inside edge realy wearing bad.

I have always had an issue , but put it down to the weight i carry all the time ...but these seems to be very excesive

I will try the dealer first , but not holding out for any joy with them .

If you cann't find anybody in the Manchester area, there's a [Land Rover] 4X4 Specialist here in York.

http://www.autorefinishers.co.uk/details.php?s=9

They've got Land Rover alignment equipment and a Land Rover trained technician.

Even if you cann't get over, they may be able to recommend someone in Manchester.

Ron,

Called in there today and found the guy most helpful and knowledgeable.

He saw straight away the problem im having with my back wheels. Unforunatly i had my oversize off road wheels and tyres on there and he suggested i should put the correct size on so the alignment could be done properly.

He said he can also compensate the camber for the weight i carry in the back .

Top reccomendation so far ..i will update when i go back up , hopefully next week

Oh and excellent price aswell Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Good to hear Wiggs, will be interested in how it all pans out.
As I've never used them and it would be especially good to hear your recommendations on other D3 services he can competently provide.

Thumbs Up

Late update

Embarassed forgot to update

Had mine done a couple of weeks back now .

Put it on the machine and was quite shocked to see how far out it was . Main issuse was the rear camber , causing my 3 month old new tyres , to be compleatly scrubbed off on the inside edge of both rears .

You could actually see the wheels sat at an angle without the machine.

Job took a bit longer than normal due to having to remove the wheels to free up the bolts. (took about 2 1/2 hours )

Normal price was £50 plus vat , but i got charged £75 plus vat due to the extra time involved . Still very happy with it , and the tech ( Steve ) was very helpfull and knowledgable Bow down

Heres some pics of the readouts ...these were sent to me today from Ent as he was up there having his done ( car pulling to one side issue ) ...im sure he will post his views on the company and there equiptment .

Front alignment

Rear alignment

Thanks Ron for the reccomendation ...i would gladly pass it on to any one who wants there 4 x 4 alignment setting up properly Bow down

Just to echo Wiggs's post these are top people to sort out any alignment issues you may have. The kit they use is made by Snap on and Steve the technician is very experienced chap. Its a big Thumbs Up

Confused Why would you need to do that when the air suspension will compensate and keep it the same no matter what load?
