Do I take it that not many forum members are using the Bell product? Do not take life too seriously no one gets out alive anyway!

Yeah sorry I think most ahve used the Autologic remap - thats what is available in Perth and its very good; supposedly now 175Kw and 550Nm of torque; very noticeable increase in torque - esp towing anything. 2006 SE TDV6 with G4 Options ("A" Bar, Driving lights, expedition rack, ladder; fr & r light guards, side steps, G4 logos) door moulds; plus Long Ranger 115L sub-tank; OL rear wheel carrier; OL rear drawer system; Kenwood / Garmin Satellite Nav/bluetooth/iPod/rear camera/DVD); LR roof mounted DVD; GME 3440 UHF; Tyre Dog tyre monitoring system; Optima Yellow second battery and Traxide dual battery management system; Mitchell Bro's tow hitch;

Hi doddsy,
Still have not got a map for mine.
I do have a Faultmate but still worried about loading the map onto the car.
Have used it to take a copy of every thing and clear faults etc, but have been scared to do anything else.
How did you find the process of loading the map ?
Was also thinking of blanking the EGR valves using the software from Bells. Do not take life too seriously no one gets out alive anyway!

90 Rangie,
There is a Group Buy on the BAS remap at the moment.

The loading of the map was easy, although the first time I did it, i sure was sweating.
Turns out to be a pain free process which I have done a few times now.
The little box pete sent me worked a treat.
I have blanked my egr valves too, I did not buy the Pete Bell solution, just the cheaper ebay option ( where you slide in a blanks but leave the hose in place. It was 10 pounds i think.
Took me a couple of hours, mostly prep so I didn't drop any screw into the abyss. Magnetic grabber on a stick helped immensely.
Get the remap from Pete, he is very helpful and knowledgeable.
I asked him many times if it had ever failed to re-load the map. His assurances have been well proven.
I love the extra power / torque for towing and overtaking.
Have to say most of the time I don't get better fuel economy due to the fact the upgrade has a tendency to encourage the
heavy right boot.
But if I do get on the freeway and set the cruise I can expect 9.1 per 100km
I say go for it, you'll love it.

I'm using the BAS re-map as well.
It's fantastic ( only been a month)
Acceleration is impressive & Economy is also improved although not at the same time.
I've only towed a car trailer With 2 tonne on it but it's still impressive.
You can remove the Remap when it's time for servicing in less than 5 minutes. It really is that easy
Measured by the wishful dash consumption meter, I'm getting 10l/100 around town & 7.9l/100 on cruise on the highway.
The gauge is well known to be "optimistic" but even if you add 1l /100 its still pretty good

I also have the BAS remap - improved my 0-100kph time by 2 secs so that is great. Mine is now also blanked.

Thanks Doddsy, Richard, Bushwanderer and Garry for replies.
Richard and Garry do either of you use a faultmate to load the map ?
If so are you happy with using it for this ?
Thanks James Do not take life too seriously no one gets out alive anyway!
