Anyone using Grabber UHPs?

Was wondering, if someone is using UHPs as I have seen them for a considerably lower price than Scorpions or Grabber AT2s.

Any first hand experience or stories from friends who tried them are welcome.

General Tyres Grabber UHP is a road biased tyre. It is very different from the AT2 on my D2 I ran UHP and AT2 18" and 16" respectively. I ran the AT2 during winter and when venturing off road. The UHP I used for mileage work the UHP is lot quieter than the standard goodyears and doesn't wonder on the road as much, it also looks a nice tyre. Seems good on the mileage and as a directional tyre I seem to be able to travel a lot faster than the goodyears.

Very good tyre and a good price too, no noise on the road and a great tyre in the wet, we only get good feedback on this tyre and have many happy customers. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Thanks for the feedback Guys, still haven't made up my mind though. On one side I would favor the AT2s because of their looks, on the other side, the UHPs might be more sensible for mostly on-road use.

Any critics out there who have compared them to the scorpions during light offroading (country lanes, gravel pits, everything maybe except for deep mud and heavy rocks..)?

The UHP will not be as good off road as the Scorpion.

Andy is right

I would never recommend using the UHP's off road once you look at them you'll see why. The channels are cut diagonally along ways into almost arrow heads as opposed to scorpions which are blocks

I've used Grabber UHP's off road.
Found them no worse than my previous Wranglers.

For a UHP, it's an absolutely fantastic tyre.
Nice sticky rubber and with excellent wear rate ...
just cann't believe the mileage I'm getting out of them.
Done around 15k miles since June and they've only worn down about 2mm

As I said, "not as good off-road as the Scorpion", but they are one of the best highway tyres on the market today.

With so many choices of size which suite so many different 4x4's.

Straight line stability is fantastic and shift water very well.

Ronp has made a great choice.
