our apologies
after few pm,s and emails can i just say i nor flack will be fitting any other parts other than what we we supply , very simple, so please don't ask us to fit peugeot/citroen oil pumps or any thing else
I can only enforce what Geoff is saying, we will not fit non genuine parts when it comes to Oil pump casing's. If we did and something went wrong there would no way that we could argue with LR that the component fitted had failed as it would be non OEM. We are not saying that something is wrong with the Peugeot/Citreon Oil pump casings, its just that we do not want to place ourselves in an awkward position with the customer or LR.
I know that when I fit the genuine Oil pump casing supplied by Steve @ Advanced Factors that if anything went wrong and the supplied casings was at fault that I would have the full backing of Advanced Factors to rectify the problem.
So please do not asked for a non OEM Oil pump casing to be fitted on any Cambelt Week end.

Sounds very fair and reasonable to me, whilst they may appear a common part it creates a a nightmare in apportioning blame/liability. Keep it simple it's worth it for what little may be saved up front, should legal eagles become involved later their cost will make any saving look pretty pathetic. Also why would you want to place another forum member in an untenable position.Commercial SDV6 8 Speed 255

Between selling to the forum, and fitting myself, I have moved on 18 Citroen pumps, without issue
Not that there would be, it's exactly the same pump as in the LR boxMy D3 Build Thread

I am happy to pay the cost of whatever Flack an Geoff choose to fit and provide a warranty on. If I was fitting myself and was happy to not have a warranty that would be a different matter, but that's not the case.2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

They have, what appears to be a serial number stamped into the casing, which I have not seen on the LR part. It may be a new thing, and the JLR supplied pump also have these serial numbers, but they are otherwise identical

I think we looked into this before and it appeared that there were batch numbers applied.21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
