My kids are too old for education discount now - used to get the boys Mac's that way when he was at Uni tho.

My feelings are that a discount is only a saving if you were going to buy the thing anyway. I was going to get a new Ipad for my daughters xmas pressie so I ordered it online at John Lewis. Saved £31 plus got an extra years guarantee. The good thing about ordering from JL if you can't be arsed to go to the store and don't want to wait a week for free delivery is that you can collect it from your local Waitrose next day after 2.00.
Tescos staff get 10% all year round and recently had a weekend with 20%
