Ashtray Won't Close - Any Ideas?
Only a minor problem, and can't be bothered taking it to the dealers until it's due for its next service. But it is annoying!
When you push the ashtray in it doesn't stay in just springs out again. Is there an easy fix?

Just a thought.... but if you take the ashtray out you might find that a sweet wrapper or other bit of rubbish has fallen behind and is preventing it from shutting properly ?? 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Done that.
It's actually the carrier that slides in and out and won't close. It's spotlessly clean

Mine did that; replaced under warranty. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Ashtry wouldn't close cause the centre clip broke during the removal procedure.... replaced under warranty What's the point.... it all comes out in the wash anyway!
