I’m waiting for first impressions on the road. Not a sniff from the dining room. I’m needing a new set and not yet sure about another set of what have been excellent Wranglers or these which score on appearance. Not that there is much importance in that. Confused

I've probably done 60 - 70k on 18" ATRs on my D3, probably 98.4618% of that on tarmac, and couldn't tell the difference over either road Contis or the Wranglers I've go on at the mo on the D4. Whilst I don't drive like Lewis Hamleton, I've always found I can take the handling for granted and even in extreme wind and rain on road, incl standing water, they have been excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending these tyres, the only are where they do not excel is deep mud, something I avoid now. Thumbs Up

Re appearance, they look just fine for me. Some peeps describe them as looking a bit "boy racer" like but to me they just look discerning. I know Duratracs and true muds have the well 'ard look but they don't suit what I do, I don't want to do long hauls with the constant droning and drop in range.

To me they just look cool. Snigger

Thanks Del. Very useful info’. I’ll have a chat with my trusty indie who has always got and had my tyres fitted at a good price. If he has problems sorting out sourcing through his channels it may be another set of Wranglers. All my driving is now on pot-holed tarmac. I don’t need anything with the ‘ard look. I have SWMBO for that. Whistle

I've travelled well over 150k miles on both 19" & 18" ATR's. I go off-road to some extent every week, along with c.25k miles pa on road.

Coupled with the amazing TR system on the D3/4, the ATR is great off-road and I've been places where I used to go with MTR's fitted. Depending on the type of mud I'll maybe slide around a bit more, but I've yet to get stuck (famous last words!). ATR's are extremely tough on and off road.

On road they perform almost identically to a road tyre, with noise, grip and mpg. In comparison to Scorpion Zero's, ATR's are very close, but lack the precise steering feel if you're really pressing on.

You should be able to get 50k miles from a set of 19"s and a bit more from 18"s.

Thanks for that. Main interest is road noise. I find the Wranglers very quiet even after 23k miles. I had four sets of Zeros on my eight year old D3 but they only averaged about 15k before needing replaced. Will definitely look at the ATR availability.

I've run Goodyear Wranglers and Pirelli Scorpion Zero's, I honestly can't tell any increase in noise whatsoever between those & the ATR's. Thumbs Up

Another recommendation. Thumbs Up you could look for 19 inch wheels. Just mentioning. Very Happy

Right, now we're talking turkey. Just bought these 4 off eBay for the ATRs. Just need to keep an eye open for a spare. Thumbs Up
