I had to order my disclok as my local Halfords didint list them. It took a couple of days to come, ordered the stretchy cover and bag too.

If you cant get one quickly, a good visable motorbike chain and lock will put them off or at least slow them down, wrapped tightly around the seat base or pedal and then through the wheel.

Sounds like they were after the tools tbh, as mentioned, block it in, put the steering on full turn, double lock it and maybe a temp sign saying no tools left inside. The fact it home made, makes them think its real rather than a generic sticker.

Ive added a ghost immobiliser and a tracker to mine, something Id recommend (and was to me on here) you can add in the coming weeks.

You can only do so much, easy to say but do as best as you can do and try and not to worry about it.

Run an electric extension cable from your house/garage into the D4 and put a note on the door/screen stating that the vehicle will transmit 240v if any attempt is made to start it.

My personal fave would be wire the power cable in the OBD port to a big capacitor and then hopefully it zaps the ‘pooter device that gets plugged into it. And hopefully zaps the scum trying to steal the car. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

On a slightly more practical note, switch off the keyless entry using the lights hack. At least then they can’t do the piggy back relay method to open the car. Thumbs Up

An instant deterrent would be if you removed a wheel (or 2), however it wont' stop them breaking in.

I doubt he’ll come back in the same circumstances, knowing you have dogs, and likely to be in the property. I would be concerned more if you and your dogs were not there, but the target D4 was. You just never know if someone is watching your comings and going’s. Shocked

Not to start too much worrying hopefully, but if you move your tools from the vehicle to the garage, say, will the garage not become the next 'target'.
Is the garage/shed/etc well secured...can one of the dogs sleep in there?

This has got me thinking about security.
I might have to take my key off the driver's seat and put it in the door pocket. Surprised
