I just had an attempted theft on my 2016 Disco, Scumbags smashed the front drivers window, and the trim panel from under the steering wheel was thrown over the back, I'm guessing they couldn't connect to the OBD port and went looking for a dummy port ? (which I don't have) just seems strange they couldn't take it, I'm not complaining but rather wondering has the 2016 model got anything on it standard security wise compared to earlier model ?
This was in broard daylight by the way, cheeky Barst**ds

Thanks Moo, I am just worried they may have been disturbed and will come back again, or as I'm hoping they failed in their attemt to clone the key, if so I am just trying to find out if there is some layer of security on later models

Fake OBD, Disklok, keys in a faraday pouch, separate switch for starter motor, security film on windows, tracker, drive post.

How does the OBD port connect at the back? Is it just straight to the loom, or is it a connector?
Pondering changing the ground and battery power around - and possibly taking the power up sky high through a boost convertor. Would stop the car being nicked, and also maybe fry their device....

I've wondered if a hidden isolator for the brake switch would be good. No brake switch, no gear selection. Not sure how strong the guard is.
Could put one on the EPB too.. if auto release is off and in hope the baddies don't know about the cable pull.
(not sure if the above is applicable to D4s, I am but a simple D3 owner)

How about fit a dummy OBD wired up to a high voltage dc to dc converter

not if they are smashing windows to get in
sounds to me to be a very amateur car thief and possibly just an opportunist.
as has been said already, put in place whatever physical security you can (steering lock, dummy OBD etc) disable keyless entry and use a faraday pouch or metal box to store keys in.
sadly though you will never stop a determined, organised scumbag or a lowlife chancer with a brick 2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten

Move your OBD port. It’s simple takes 5 mins. A mod a week until I have nothing to improve or add.
