Auto box torque converter - Ireland
I am going to have to bite the bullet and get my Auto box and torque converter overhauled on my 2006 D3 as I have over 300,000 km up and I am all Dr Tranny'd out! I have had the vehicle from new, so I know it's history.
I see warnings from the like of Bristol Transmissions in UK that swapping the torque converter only is not a good plan with teh sort of mileage (or should that be kilometreage) I have.
Any recommendetions or otherwise for companies in Ireland to do this work? I am based in the South East but can travel to wherever does the best job at the most reasonable price (not necessarily the cheapest!)
Recommendations and any tips welcome!

In the end I went to Autotranz (Pat Cassidy) in Dublin. €2,000 plus VAT to remove / refit box, recon the gearbox, recon torque converter. So far so good.

Not sure exactly but they used a recon kit consisting of bushes etc. He said mine wasn’t actually that bad despite over 300,000 KM up on it.
