Auto dipping wing mirrors

Auto dipping wing mirrors......

Where would I find the control buttons to access the options for there settings....I have been told, the buttons on the steeering wheel but then the same person mentioned the buttons near top the sat/nav trip computer.

I don't own a D3 yet, but am test driving one tomorrow, have sat in one today at the dealers, the Sales man could not show me how to stop them dipping when I selected reverse. Rolling Eyes

All answers welcome.

It is an option - I can recall setting it on mine, in the Settings Menu accessed by the control stalk if I recall rightly Very Happy Same menu also has things such as the auto door locking - all very much personal preferences.

You say "control stork".......? sorry lost ?

I take it it is not the buttons on the s/wheel then Question
or the sat/nav unit on the dash Question

On the turn signal stalk, I believe, when you are stopped, you press the button and hold it. Then you use the steering wheel buttons to navigate those settings.

To stop them dipping on selection of reverse gear:
Ignition ON
press the button on the end of the left hand (indicator) stalk
SETTINGS should appear in the message centre.
Press the CD track change button on the steering wheel
Keep pressing until the Reverse Mirror dip setting is displayed
Press the Volume +/- button to set / unset the function.
Press the stalk button to exit.

You can also set the dip position of the mirrors with the car in reverse, I think you need to save it with the memory seat buttons. I have not got my manual here, so I stand to be corrected on that one.

You can adjust them to dip to your prefered angle rather than a preset angle too

And just to confuse matters, you can set them "on" even if you've not got them! Not that it does anything though Crying or Very sad

When your in reverse set the mirrors and save on the seat memory. I found it in the technical bit on this site.

Thanks pelyma, it worked, I also phoned my dealer to tell them how to do it on their cars as when i last borrowed one of their cars they complained about how far down they dipped.

Cheers Neil
