Auto engine shut down!

Whilst bringing the kids to school I puuled off and after 200meters the car shut off. Engine off, power steering off and no brakes, while coming up to a curve!! The only thing I noticed was the red parking brake light coming on. Thank god I was driving slowly. After the car came to a hold I turned off the ignition, turned it on and drove away without any problems.

Anyone who knows what this is about?

I would check the battery terminal connections first.

2007 Discovery 3 TDV6 XS Manual Java BlackDiscovery 3

My old TD5 did the same late one night £££ signs flashing through my mind as it happened!
Restarted 2nd try,
After having everything checked on computer to see what caused it no fault codes or spurious read outs never did find out what caused it never did it again in the next 3 years

Was near an airfield at the time so pondered if it was radar or similar affecting the electrics.

Sounds simular to what I had a few months back http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic52576.html.

As it says in the post the diag's came back with a Turbo Fault. I'm not convinced that was the cause, but the turbo was replaced and the problem has not reoccurred.
