United Kingdom 2007 Discovery 3 TDV6 XS Manual Zermatt SilverDiscovery 3

I have had a full debrief now.

Apparently it was software compatibility. The sofware for the gearbox had been upgraded at the last service but not the clutch (Does that make sense TFC?). Anyway due to the age difference the relationship didn't work out and they stopped talking to each other - quite messy really.

Shocked there is no 'software' for the manual box and the only electronics near the clutch is the pedal position sensor...

The clutch position sensor is hardwired to the EPB module and then broadcast on CANbus so it's possible they upgraded the EPB software...

Auto release failed agin yesterday Big Cry

Called out LRA (32 minutes from phoning them to the chap arriving). He drove it around the block and reset the gearbox sensor think (changing up through all gears in low range then stopping and revervising).

Seems OK now. He said if it breaks again it's a dealer job because the sensor is broken.
