just a quick question re D4 hse. According to the handook when the engine is turned off the steering wheel moves up & the seat lowers, as it did on the old hse. On my d4 the steering wheel moves up ok, but the seat won't lower. I took it into a dealer & after spending 30 minutes trying to get the seat to lower automatically he said it wasn't supposed to lower automatically and the handbook was wrong.
Have any other hse owners experience of this?

I think I may have the manual seat version of this still... (the D3 was on its 3rd seat base in attempt to fix this!)

You're lucky, I've had my D4 about a month and the front seat does not move at all! Dealer seems baffled and has ordered a new module to replace what they think is a faulty one.. and now the back window goes up, when it hits the seal at the top it goes back down again!!!
Have i got a dud?
Anyone else with similar probs??

Had a phone call from the dealer to call in when passing as they could solve the problem. took it in & it was done in 5 minutes. Apparently something needed re programming. Any a result as all is now working fine. never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly

On our HSE neither the steering wheel or seat does anything when the engine is switched off. They stay firmly where they were - which is not an entirely bad thing.
Is this a user chooser option - and maybe we haven't chosen it ? Disco 4 TDV6HSE

hi russell, the dealer was Hunters of Norwich, I don't know exactly what they did, but when they called me they were totally confident they'd found the solution through research & all that was needed was some kind of re programming which took minutes.
Sorry I can't help any further.

On mine, it is the same physical knob that you use to adjust the steering wheel (left of steering column) - It twists to two positions, Auto or manual.
There is a note in the manual that states the seat may not lower if it is already below a certain height. I sit high up so mine does lower
