Automatic Radio Volume control
On my D3 S, I have set the radio to increase volume as speed increases. Well I think I have, but it does not seem to make much difference. Anybody experienced the same or know how it should work??

It works, but it's subtle... which makes sense. I don't find the cabin noise to increase that much at higher speeds.
Must admit that the D3 is so quiet at speed I cannot see the point, wish I had one on the old TD5 where you had to yell to communicate above 60mph! I guess to drown out a) a nagging wife b) the kids could be a useful application !!

Hold down the same button you use to adjust bass/treble (the "note" button) for 5 seconds. It's in the manual.

It is subtle but perhaps too subtle as it is not really obvious. It is adjustable after all and even on the maximum gain it is difficult to see any difference. My previous car had the facility and it is useful even if it is to drown out the wife and kids!!

.... if it's obvious it's working too well... if you don't notice the difference, surely it's working perfectly
a 3dB difference is a doubling in audible volume, and generally the minimum change the human ear(s) - for those with two - can detect
