I took the picture below at the outskirts of Vegas earlier in the year - you can clearly see the Nellis Runways, so visibility should not be a problem. It's right next to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway so I'd guess there must be a bunch of viewing spots.

Stunning photos of Utah. Thumbs Up We did NE in the fall a few years ago. Stayed on Cape Cod and called the daily "Leaf Peepers' Hot Line" to find out where the best colours were. Drove up to Lincoln, New Hampshire for a couple of days to meet them. Well worth it. Unbelievable sight. Thumbs Up Went for a job as a human cannonball. Not the right calibre.
