AUX Input on base Radio?

I have a base with the single CD radio. I suspect I know the answer but it has an AUX selector. How do I access this input? There is no seperate amp so I suspect this would be required.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Input to the AUX

Hi,

You have to remove the Radio and on the middle of the rear panel you will find a connector marked as C2115 with 12 pins.

Pins 7,8 are the Line In (Left & Right) and Pin 12 is Ground.

Many thanks for that, I've since downloaded workshop manual sections from GTR.

oferli, how is the radio removed, by the looks of it, with great difficulty? I had one done by the dealer, but would like to make mods myself if possible.

Not so difficult. You have to apply some minor force on the plastic cover around the radio. First on the top around the two A/C holes and then on the lower part. Behind the cover you will have to unscrew also the panels above and below the radio unit.

oferli, when the radio is out does it have ISO connectors and a little space behind the radio?

The connectors are not ISO but similar. The fit is tight so not much room at the rear.

You can also link into the AUX behind the panel for the bonnet latch, just need to search on here for the instructions but there is a multiblock with the wires just waiting to be connected
