You've tried re-setting the ACM (there's a small hole for a pin or paper clip to go in the top) or have you checked teh position of the switch next to the USB slot in the glovebox? I had that part way over & had some feedback issues. Thumbs Up

Ah sorry, I thought you had just put in the Audio Control Module for the ipod/iphone.

So you've got an ipod to phono (headset socket) connector?

Is it a branded one or a 2.99 e-bay one?
if you have just a headphone socket to headphone socket to any other MP3 type player, does it then work OK. Does the buzzing go away when you unplug the ipod or does it go away when you unplug the cable from the aux socket?

There's your answer my friend, I think you need to invest in a decent cable. Belkin and the like do one for about £15-£20. might seem a lot, but you've experienced what happens with the cheap stuff. There are also ones that will charge from your 12v socket too. never used them myself as I have the integrated ACM so I can use the steering controls.

Hope that helps at least identify it.....

If you unplug the cable from the rear console with the headunit on "Aux" does the noise go away?
