Awful steering after lower arm changes
I just changed the lower arms on my disco3 due to knocking worn bushes and now that’s fine but once done had faults come up and suspension lowered after reading here reset steering angle and no more faults but the steering don’t feel right it seems to wander all over the place and if I turn left slightly it seems to stick there and same if I go right I did try to put all the bolts back in the same place but it don’t feel right no more
Any help would be greatDisco 3 gone but not forGotten

I believe that everything should be tightened to the relevant torques when under load.
The vehicle should have all the weight on the suspension before final torque up?
Good video on YouTube by Britpart and Fuzz Townsend.
The symptons could be this, it will be appalling and possibly dangerous to drive.

If you did them yourself as previously mentioned you need the suspension at normal ride height before tightening everything up then you definitely need 4 wheel alignment, if you tightened them when they were hanging this would give terrible handling (I know I did this first time)Range Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car

I do not know how to do that?
Just go on YouTube and search ' Britpart d3 suspension' and scroll through the options.
You should find a series of videos produced by Britpart the parts supplier on Land Rover related repairs.
I will talk to the kids and see how to paste the link but give it a go on your computer in the meantime!

James, getting the tracking done is not advisable.
The only solution once you've replaced the front lowers is a full 4 wheel alignment using Hunter equipment followed by recalibration of the steering angle sensor.
Fail to do those and you'll be back asking all sorts of questions regarding why your DSC keeps kicking in, or why your suspension keeps lowering with loads of dash lights etc. etc. etc.
You have been warned. Mods:

Good idea to free off the rear camber adjusters
Not long done mine plenty spray then tickle them back and forwards to unseize them remember to mark there position tap them out ,copperslip replace .
The reason why (so my indi said ) is that most places will adjust the rears but not unseize them so they just twist the bush so it's set on the machine and as soon as you drive they kind of spring back to where they were . Sounds reasonable as it's arkward to get to the adjusters
Ps used a bit of heat on mine but not to muchAll transmission oil replaced
3 flash indicators
All timing belts changed
EPB serviced
De cat fitted
Wind deflectors
De-tango done
Tints fitted
Egr blanked
