Awning Advice
Just back from our maiden voyage with the new, to us, caravan. All went well and really enjoyed our stay. However the only down side was the awning. We ordered one at the caravan show at Manchester from Outdoor Revolution. I must say the overall quality was way below what we expected. One of the wing nuts used to tighten the extending pole clamps broke as they are only plastic the glue holding the clamp to the pole failed on almost all the poles. SWMBO called the dealer we bought it from and they refused a refund but will exchange it for any other make and model.
So does anyone have any recommendations and any thoughts on the blowup ones now on sale. Quite like the idea and they do seen rigid enough.
Thanks in advance
Andy
P.S it's a lightweight one we want as SWMBO is not that keen on the full awning style.

We went looking at the weekend. Saw the air ones and they seem strong just worried about punctures!! Liked the kampa ones as we have a kampa tent and it has proved to be really good. So toss up between that or a new suncamp one. The kampa ones were slightly more expensive but maybe better quality.

Must admit Kampa is favourite at the moment. I am tempted by the air beam ones with the Sunncamp ones a fir bit cheaper than the Kampa ones. Traded up to a caravan from an Outwell tent just wish they did awnings as well as the quality is superb.

+ 1 for Isabella. We bought one a couple of years ago at the Excel show, but because of odd size of van took it to Isabella in Thame, Oxon. Only about 30 miles so no effort. They measured and assured Swmbo and me that it would fit. Delivered about 10 days later. It did not fit. One phone call and within the hour the Works manager and a member of staff at our place. Everything remedied and sorted. I doubt that service from any other company? You get what you pay for.
We've had several awnings over the 20+ years we've been caravanning but now have a full size Isabella Commodore Concept for outings of a >week and a smaller Magnum porch awning for short trips.
Yes, they are bloody expensive but they are both the dogs doodahs and I doubt we'll ever need to buy another.
Isabella even offer a resizing service should we ever buy a smaller/larger van.Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills

If goods are not fit for purpose then you may be entitled to a refund. Have a look at the CAB web site

Have a look at the pop up type, same principal as tents that pop up, no extending poles, much, ,much lighter and easier to erect. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

If you like Isabella en look at
ventura awnings these are made with same materials in the same factory as Isabella
Great quality for less price
We have had both full and pop up style awning by outdoor revolution and found them to be good stuff, even had the full awning resized so we can keep it, yes there are better but you get what you pay for and I find outdoor revolution you get more than what you pay for.

Agree with the Isabella and Bradcot as being the best.
But don't discount Dorema for great quality but better price.
Bought one of their small awnings secondhand 7 years ago, and its still going strong and never needed repair or spare parts.
Good strong sturdy material and I would say on par for quality that our Bradcot was a few years earlier.
Reckon it will last us many years to come.

+1 for Isabella - or Ventura. Pretty much the same kit.
We had a magnum - awesome piece of kit, easy to put up and withstood gale force winds without losing a wink if sleep.
Lightweights are great for the summer and 2 night stops but we never used ours once we had the magnum.
Ventura do an equivalent and a number of other designs of small porch awnings.2013 Evoque
