yes to using a wheel ... NO to using the spare. If it's a wheel that is going back on, you won't accidentally lower the car and crush the edge of the rim.

They should be forged rather than a simple casting. Casting has almost no elasticity, fine for pure compression load but no good for a bending force.
 A visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an is still an EV. Strictly speaking its SWMBO.

Definately should be made from Drop Forged steel but that would be a lot more expensive.

Lifting equipment should have a load test certificate but nothing for a pair of support stands Whistle
