B F Goodrich 265 70 17 will they adjust the speedo reading

as the above , i have been told they will affect the speedo reading is this true,
hope not as i would like to fit some Confused

Forgot to mention the local tyre fitter said i would need the car recalibrating?

My practical experience (so ignoring web based calculators etc) is less than 4% on Cooper ATR LT's in the size you quote. This experience is based on 100km travel distance measured by GPS in freeway conditions, vs the LR odometer. This means when my speedo says 100, my genuine speed is approx 103.8kmh.

My estimate on the BFGs is 5%. However, I've yet to check it (via GPS).
