My baby is getting her new ATR boots this morning!

The old girl is getting a new set of rubber this morning, decided to go for ATR's in place of the Scorpions following advice on here.

Got them down to £777 fully fitted, which is still a lot of money for tyres but a decent price me thinks.

If anyone local (Preston) wants the fitters details i'll gladly supply them.

Can't wait to get her back and see how she handles on and off.

Thumbs Up

Baz, I've just completed 1500 miles on 18" ATRs and am very impressed with their road manners. Very quiet and just as good on wet and dry tar as the Scorpion Zeros. Not done much off road yet but they seemed okay puling the tin tent over wet muddy lakeland grass last weekend Thumbs Up

They look pretty good too and no difference to the fuel consumption that I can see.

The few times I've taken them off-road I've found them as good as the AT2, but on-road they make for a quieter ride and better cornering.
LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

I got mine yesterday at AJS.

Much better but i dont know how much the difference is down to my old knackered zeros

It was quite scary to see how damaged the old tyres were even with a bit of tread left on them, as if the side walls were knackered and almost rolled over on themselves on cornering.

Got to test the ATRs in an emergency stop in the wet going down a hill!!!! good job I switched

For those that have already taken the plunge, how does the price compare for the 19" - have I done OK or not?

I paid £640 plus vat (?£736) at AJS for the tyres but had my brakes done as well

Also paid £736 at AJS Thumbs Up

Had a bit of a moment with worn Scorpion Zero's in heavy rain so decided to try these. So far they seem to handle just as well on tarmac, and grip better in mud. They look as though they'd be better at stopping on snow too, which wouldn't be a bad thing!

So far I'm happy they're a good compromise for a lot of road use and occasional off-road trips, without having to swap wheels around.
