she backed into me...how do i....
had a lovely weekend in north devon...sunday morning parked up to go walking...out of the car at the tailgate getting coated up...a women backs up and goes down the o/s wing scuffing up the arch..
theres a 12 inch scuff ..
got her reg..mobile number and name...ive never never had any dealings with insurance claims...any advice on which way to go...car only done 13000 and 15 months old..

Give all the info you have to your own insurance company, and let them do the legwork. That's what you pay them for

not sure if the cheaper way would be to renew wheel arch or spray it...do new ones come painted to color

Settle without insurers if you can, thats my advise. If you can't reach agreement with the lady then you do need to think before claiming, DIY etc because the insurers have ways of getting it all back and a bit more

If you can repair it without insurance involvement then you won't get any category's recorded on the vehicle. It could devalue it when it comes to reselling in a few years thanks to all the mycarcheck things.26 and on the 4th LR..

They didn't use to come painted.
I got one from TLO some time back and he arranged to have it sprayed by their body shop before sending it to me.
It worked out a bit more expensive but less hassle
