Confused - Just finished fitting upgraded towbar (FR), template for reshaping cover worked well , although the cutting was hazerdous to say the least. however end result looks good. Whislt uder the vechile noticed two large lumps of metal on either side mounted on free swinging shafts. What are these and what is the pupose. First time owner previos LC neever had anything like these.

Thanks for the info- any chance of them (shafts) been immobilized by debris or mud.

After fitting dual battery system - the power lead to the tow hitch interfered with the right rear swinging thing. I picked up a lot of vibration and by accident noticed this. After a couple of cable ties it was sorted and vibration gone
