I have heard good things about 'Land Rover' branded batteries, but a few years ago I went to buy an alternator for my V8, and was given the choice of two which were the same alternator, from the same manufacturer, and the land rover one was more than five times the price of Magnet Marelli branded one.
Since then, when it comes to things that are obviously bought in, I would go for original make.
So for me, I would buy Exide or (my particular favourite) Yuasa.
But whatever you buy, make sure it is an AGM battery, and if you do a lot of short journeys, get yourself a decent charger (in fact I would try a decent charger first to see if the old one is able to be saved). Car batteries last a lot longer if kept at or near full charge.
Now - I full expect a load of comments about Land Rover branded being better - the above is just my opinion... But I am ready - I have my (teflon) overcoatcoat on already
Roger Disco4, Disco2, R1200R, CBX600FX, multiple Ham radios, and several bicycles...
All that lot and a tool fetish means that I seldom have more than two brass farthings to rub together.

Hi
The Land Rover branded batteries used to be Varta but now they are Exide.
Buy an Exide AGM and a Ctek charger to keep it topped up
Regards
