About to buy and change battery on my 15 plate D4 HSE with Stop/Start.
1. Is AGM 019 the best?
2. Any brand suggestions?
3. Do I need to reset the BMS? If so how? (I don't have an iid tool)
Cheers

Yes
Yuasa, excide (I've just put an excide in mine)
Yes it should be reset to optimise charge and battery life. Someone with an IID can do it for you, it doesn't have to be registered to your vehicle.

I went for a BOSCH S5A13, mainly because I can get batteries at nearly cost price, but also for the no quibble 4 year warranty.
By the way, Bosch and Varta batteries are made in the same factory, so don't pay the extra for a Varta.
If you can get a good deal, go for it.

I've got a Bosch too. Wasn't cheap but has a note on the top saying it has a min voltage of 12.4V and the 4 year warranty as stated.
Cheers Gary

Have a look at TAYNA BOSH = £174 . Varta £171 EXCIDE £125 YUASA £156.
I changed the small battery and allough I thought it had gone ok, I needed to used my Autel AP200 to reset it . it also was able to reset main Battery. It may not be an Idd but is very useful for £40

+1 for Halfords, mainly due to their no quibble guarantee so long as you save the invoice, not the cheapest but very convenient.
Beware of Bosch warranty, they do not replace a dud battery in my experience they only refund a percentage, I paid extra for a Bosch with 5 year warranty, it failed after two years and they would only give 2/5ths of what I paid for it against another Bosch. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Bosch stand by their warranty, it's the dealer who might let you down, and ultimately profit from doing so.
