Battery Light flickering on when low revs/change gear

Just been out in the D3, a manual 2006, and its cold outside; around 5 degrees. Started up fine, pulled away then approaching junction dropped from 3rd to 2nd to 1st and each time the battery light flickered on for a second or two as the revs dropped. It’s not stalling and it did it again at the next junction. Once engine warm, no problem and drives great. Just bought it two days back from LR Indy and will follow up tomorrow but just wondered if anyone else had this. Perhaps battery low from less use as been on forecourt.. alternator last changed 2013 according to service history. Done about 50k since then. Had clutch and flywheel changed 2017. Any thoughts on whether this could indicate an issue that needs investigating? What to check.

Thanks

Wiser bods than me may be along shortly but I think battery and/or alternator need a good check.

I'd be taking it back too, it may be simple issue with battery , earths, or even the alternator. It could also be the starter cable beginning to dead short on the front differential if it has not already been rectified Shocked
Don't delay in returning to the dealer!!

Mine always does this when it's cold at the first junction I get to, I seem to remember a post in the past that other people said theirs does it also.

Just drop clutch and coast to the first junction and all ok.

Thanks for feedback. Appreciated. Dealer agreed to review and make good any issues. Can’t say fairer than that. (Also good to hear about others having similar and it’s not a big issue).
