Battery Replacement

Thinking of changing the battery on the D3 MY 2006 anybody got any recommendations? Iv'e read so many posts with people saying replace with genuine LR so any advise welcome.

Iv'e been looking at this one http://www.batterymegastore.co.uk/product/AX+595+850/

We got a Bosch from Halfords and paid them to fit it and dispose of old battery. Came with 5yr warranty and same capacity as original. Paid about £140 6 months ago.

+3 for Tayna, ordered one from them on eBay at about 16:30 one day, it was here by 10am the next morning.

Fantastic service and seriously well packaged.

Chaps - can someone please clarify: the link to Tanya batteries is for a 017 battery, but other sites suggest a Discovery 3 needs a 019 battery.

Thoughts/advice welcome...

It's an 017 Thumbs Up

FFRR is an 019, which is a very similar battery, but a bit larger dimensions

The Exide Premium, as in Robbie's link is a higher rated battery, both for Ah + CCA, as well as being a whole lot cheaper Thumbs Up

I'm sure the one in your link is fine, but why would you want to spend £140 on an AGM battery when you could spend £80 on an Exide Premium 017TE which so many others on here have bought from Tayna (with positive feedback). Confused

The D3 doesn't need an AGM battery. There are probably other benefits to buying an AGM one but think of the other mods you could do with the £60 you would save! Whistle
