Battery reset question

Recently a few electrical gremlins have reared their ugly heads and I would like to try a battery reset. The parking sensors work fine, but intermittently I get a fault light on the dash. I had low pressure in a tire and got the TPMS warning light, but after setting the pressures the light is still on. Finally the radio is not automatically bonding with my cell phone any more.
Will a battery reset wipe out my navigation settings and memory points? Also, does anyone have any tips for avoiding any negative impact of doing a battery reset?

Thanks in advance!

You won't loose navigation points, or radio presets, but you will loose trip computer info and sound balance and bass/treble settings.

Wait until the red (P) light has extinguished and the car is fully asleep before disconnect. I think it is also best to have the drivers window down and shut the doors also.

Have a look at the following post which gives summary of hard reset procedure:

http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic19547.html

I had to use the hard reset process on a recent 20000 km trip in outback Australia when the radio went to lala land. It worked well.

The problem with radio seemed to be an indication of problems with starter motor which died soon after.

Luckily we were only about an hours tow from the nearest dealer - not over 1000 km as we were the week before!
