Yes, think it was simply a verbal disruption to make the government look stupid. With this government, that is easy, don't need to disrupt the rest of us.
It is whether they do something on Friday afternoon, which would be a problem as the tanker drivers would not be notified to work and drivers hours may be run out. That is the best way of disruption.

The fact that most of the country has been panic buying for the past 2 days is demonstration enough of the power of these demonstrators.
They don't need to blockade anymore, just spread a few rumours and everyone panics.

Panic is the nature of the human.
If I was going to disrupt, I would certainly do as they are at the moment then leave it untill Friday afternoon. The pumps would empty by the evening and the fuel tanker drivers would not have any driving hours left to refuel over the weekend, simple.
However, this man has the answer

"About Petrol Direct
As far as we know the direct supply of highly volatile fuels through the post is an as-yet untapped market. Indeed, you can get just about anything else mail order these days so we thought that it was high time we started to leverage the synergies of the worldwide energy macroeconomy to produce a paradigm shift of groundbreaking proportions.
At Petrol Direct we understand that you are interested in finding out as much as you can about our history and background model, primary because you've bothered to click on the link to this page and have so far made it down to the second paragraph without trying to find something more interesting to do.
Just in case you are an American, or possibly drive a car made by Suzuki, we will spell the purpose of Petrol Direct out to you in simple terms.... " find the rest yourselves

Sorry, but I have to warn you of potential severe problems related to the use of vegetable oil as fuel.
Recently, the most important Italian car magazine (Quattroruote) has conducted a very accurate experimental test on the long term effects of utreated vegetable oil in diesel engines.
They filled several diesel cars with different mixtures of vegetable oil and diesel fuel (100% VO, 70% VO +30% diesel fuel, 30%VO+70%diesel fuel) and let them run on the test track for many thousand kilometres. Then the engines were disassembled and various mechanical parts checked. The cars running on high VO mixtures showed engines in miserable conditions, and the car running on 100%VO did not even complete the test due to turbo compressor failure after few thousands kilometres.
The long term damage suffered by the cars, that was directly related to the percentage of vegetable oil used, seems to be mostly due to the high levels of glycerol in untreated cooking oil.
White spirit added to the vegetable oil makes the mixture less viscous, but do not eliminate the glycerol.
The glycerol is eliminated in a complex distillation process during the industrial synthesis of bio-diesel, making it a very different fuel from cooking oil, and fully compatible with most car engines.
Thus, I would be very cautious to use cooking oil in D3, since the savings on the fuel might be largely overrun by expensive faults or warranty problems.
Bye, Vito
