I take it that a coating of ice on the front bumper that also covers the parking sensors will cause a continuous beeeeeeeeeep tone.

Yes, unfortunately... the D3 sensors seem to be particularly sensitive to a 18 wheeler stopping next to it. Or someone using an pneumatic drill close by. Or... Shocked
