Furama City Centre by any chance? We stayed there 2017 and found it to be very convenient for Clarke Quay and China town etc. We are planning a return trip for 2019 and would definitely consider staying there again.

It would seem that some hotels are now not even bothering with the glass walls. A friend stayed in one in Spain recently
I been in a couple of hotels where the bath is in the same room as the bed, taking a in the same room though.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Not sure where many of them were as by the time I discovered the glass walls they hadn’t got to point of seeing where they were and sticking a pin in GoogMaps.
PS just found that one, having a mooch. Nice and near Chinatown and lots and lots food.

We have stayed at the Hyatt Regency on Scotts Road (near shopping on Orchard Road), at The Mandarin Oriental and have had friends who were in the Marina Mandarin (next to the Oriental) and the Pan Pacific ( also part of the Marina development). All are handy for MRT and all the sites but there has been huge development on Sentosa Island and there appear to be reasonably priced hotels there. Although out of the centre all methods of travel are cheap and efficient.

Dumping in the same room as the bed, not ideal the night after 10 pints and a chicken madras.
You won't even get the satisfaction of closing the bathroom door then advising others to take a canary in there with them. Mods:

Thought to myself, let’s look at other places we’re looking to go to, and the first hotel I looked at in Vientiane had the same.

What luxury. You want to try the Central Hotel in Medias Romania. It’s a life changing experience.Once you have defeated the idiots any job is half done. Pity there are so many idiots to defeat.

We’re saving those experiences for further in the trip. Going to be truely in the arras end of nowhere for much of the trip and I’m sure SWMBO is trying to spend less than £10 a night on a room. I keep hearing the phrase “too expensive” when I point out a nice hotel.

I can highly recommend the Fullerton down by Marina Bay. It’s the old colonial telephone exchange, and it’s stunning. But more that 10 pound though.....
Don’t suppose you are heading a bit further south on your trip?King of the typo.
MY11 D4 5.0 V8, Bournville, lots of goodies!
Now departed: '85 RR Vogue, '94 D1, '95 D1, '70 SIIA, '97 D1, '04 D2a. All V8, except for the SIIA - but that drank as much petrol anyway!

Not on this jolly but planning a Southern Hemisphere trip a bit latter. Got a lot of the planet to see.
Will have a look at the Fullerton, as long as it passes the BDC (Bog Door Challenge).

There are 2 Furama hotels, the City Centre is a better location, the Riverfront is fine, just 5-10 minutes walk from Clarke Quay and further from Chinatown.
We have stayed at the Mandarin Oriental on Orchard Rd a couple of times and it's great for shopping, but not much else and I wasn't convinced it was worth the money.CGA
