Hi all,
Looking at purchasing the Bells FBHIC3 unit.
Anybody give me their experiences with it and what service providers and data bundles they use.
Many thanks

For the SIM provider, find out who has network coverage in the locations you'll use the phone functionality. 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
Any issues with the site let me know!

My glow plugs are on there way out as we speak and we are just coming in to winter so looking to get FBH up and running 20 mins before I leave for work in the mornings.. I noticed that the bells FBHIC3 is currently out of stock and wondered which other FBH controllers etc the forum recommends?

Went the Altox route and very happy with the support and advice from Gregg (Beanie) unfortunately BAS wouldn't speak to me on the phone only email and chat!.
The Altox unit is fitted and working great.

How does the altox one work? Is it easy enough to fit? Could you possibly send me the link to the one you bought so I can check it out?
Thanks in advanced!

Really easy to fit, one wire to the fbh (signal) and 2 wires to the light switch(12v supply).
The controller mounts behind the light switch.
Pm me if you require any info.
Found the instructions a bit odd as they have been converted into English from Russian.

Sorry we could not take your call, we get over 300 calls every day it is hard to manage to keep customer history on my own which is why we use emails and chat mostly as we then can look back at the conversations.

I’ve fitted the controller temporarily in the battery box (weather is too cold to do a full fitting). It worked when I first fitted it but now it won’t fire up from the app, I get 2 messages after I send the start command:
Error!
The heater does not start, Technical info: W7,3,6
And then
Webasto Diagnostic’s
Error code: none
I have noticed today that the glow plug warning light only lights for a split second rather than the 5 or so that it used to, I don’t think they are connected issues though?

Yep the Altox from Bodsy, GifGaff sim, it worked straight off but now has stopped responding to commands, if I run the iid diagnostic it works fine and today I primed the fuel first and the the diagnostic and it smoked like mad and then nothing from the remote
