After just 11 years my car's battery looks to be getting towards the end of its days. Any recommendations for which battery and supplier? Halfords do one with a five year guarantee at around £130 plus fitting (anyone know the cost of fitting?) - any good. Thanks.

but you might want to read this before going to Halfords. https://disco4.com/forum/competition-week-...ompetition
I WILL be getting mine there as I have vouchers so it's effectively free … but otherwise there are other places offering very good deals. .

I would say Halffords batteries are fine, just buy the battery and fit it yourself, then should you move it onto another vehicle they wont know, so its always been on that vehicle guvnor!
I got one for my mums Micra years ago, its still on there.
Wifes car has one fitted, same as Disco battery (019) no issues.
My Disco has one fitted again no issues.
On the other hand the Exide from Tayna was a dissapointment.

if you can get a trade card or have a mate with one, Halfords' price is £105

LR’s own is a rebadged Exide (at least mine was) by the way.
I’ve had a Fiamm Black Titanium one for over a year and it’s been fine, too. I would imagine most batteries are quite alright. Most vendors have a tool which helps to determine which battery would fit a particular vehicle.

I think they sourced from various players. The internet seems to agree with both of us. Mine had the green oval and then the exide logo underneath.
