Are you nuts that'll wreck it!!!
You'll get the straw wrapped around the prop shaft and it's a bummer to get it off
I know I often had to go under our old 300 tdi with a knife after my father would drive across freshly cut silage swaths and stall it with the amount wrapped around the prop shaft.!!
Discoverys are made to be used and abused. (See pics above )
The only worry I'd have about the slipway pic is incase the slipway was slippery and you ended up going backwards into the sea.

Does the prospeed light bar create any extra wind noise?Tonga Green D3

Yes it does, It's like saying does a roof rack create noise, or big off-road tyres...you know the answer....but it's not major and all part of the fun!

That's fair enough then. I must admit I'v not noticed any extra wind noise with the roof rack. The RAI makes abit more noise. Think I might just have to bite the bullet and purchase a light bar. Your truck has sold me on the idea.Tonga Green D3

So are you saying that 3 waves worth a nice picture followed by car wash (leaving alone that must have been pouring done rain constantly in Ireland) is much worse than a winter spent in the north of England where salt is spread on the road constantly for weeks?
Guys take it easy...it is an off road car let's have fun with it!

It is a fantastic picture.
I would have been to scared to the risk to smashing the rear door/window or even being pushed sideways rather than corrosion. It is easy to underestimate the power of waves and that they don't stay the same strength wave on wave.
