Best way to clean cloth seats?

Hi all,

I have an 's' with cloth seats (heated) and wanted to give them a good clean. What is the best way without damaging the heated elements, are these things fragile?

Regards
Les

hi

find (buy, rent, borow) around you a Numatic George or a VAX 6151 or 6131 shampoo/vacum cleaner

I bought a Numatic George and it works a treat !

you can use it if you come at home 8)

Autoglym spray on upholstery cleaner.....light spray then wipe off with a damp cloth. Cleaned the cloth seats in my old D1 like magic.......but JKP will be along shortly with a better answer.

...so it's either a good scrub or Autoglym and wipe.

Does JKP do this for a living, what does he suggest?

Best bet is JKP by far!

Just tell him what you want to achieve, he'll recommend suitable products and dispatch them to you.
That way you'll get the right stuff that's suited to your vehicle and needs rather than buying blindly in the likes of Halfords.
Remember some cleaning products can be high in spirit and remove colour as it removes stains - you don't want that!!

I've just explained my needs to John [JKP] and he's given me his best recommendation.
My order for leather treatment pack [for my Alpaca] is now paid and with him.

Oh, and you're supporting a fellow forum member and site sponsor.

Thumbs Up

Les, good to chat with you today, I hopefully helped with a bit info.

As a side issue I can supply a foam spray that can be used safely on fabric seats to remove dirt, stains and will not damage any of the seats inners such as heating elements.

I can supply this to any Uk postcode for £8 delivered. If anyone would like one them please PM me for payment details. Thumbs Up
