Hi Chocolate, I had exactly the same problem and land rover middle east are not very helpful in soling such problems. I found out a good way to connect my phone to the cars stereo. This only works with my phone settup as far as i know however it may even be worth changing your phone. I have a sony ericsson w810i, the key point to this is that the earphones detach from the cable thus allowing toy to plug in another 3.5mm jack lead. You then plug in another jack lead into the AUX socket at the back of the central console between the front seats. All you need to do is put your stereo on AUX and the phone works through the speakers and you can clip the mic from the headset somewhere convenient. I have mine just under the arm rest! Works a treat, very simple, very effective and very cheap! If this sounds a bit confusing feel free to email me for clarification and details.
