BFG KO or GGAT3

It's that aged old question of what tyre. I've researched and looked at around ect and decided on the bf Goodrich KO2, love the look and the new design has a lot of benifits. Except they don't do a 19" Sad

So I'm now stuck between the old bf Goodrich ko or the new general grabber at3.
Any thoughts, is there a tyre I have over looked?
I will be 50/50 off road/on road and I don't have room to cary play wheels to work and change them to access site so I need great off road capability without going deaf on the m6.

255/55/19 disco3

Thanks

Kingpin tracker is same tread as BFG KO2
Available in 255/55/19, it’s a remould though but British made and dirt cheap.

What are the duratracs like on the road? My normal commute is 6 hours up the motorway then up a mountain to a TV transmitter, it can be deep mud or loose shingle to access some of these sites so I need a 50/50 mix.

I know I'm asking the impossible as I want the best of both worlds.

They’re pretty good. Road handling and grip feels as good as road tyres, and they’re the best all-terrain tyres in mud. Although I’d probably better say I thought MT/Rs were fine for regular fast runs up to Newcastle: Those really were noisy!

I put a full set of the General Grabber AT3 Jeep I sold recently. I did over 1700 miles on a trip to france on them last summer and I can honestly say the were a great tyre. No additional road noise in comparison to the road tyres it had on before and little or no change to fuel. Stopped well if you needed to quickly and easily towed 2.5 ton trailer up a grassy field. Thumbs Up

Purchased them online from BOSS TYRES who at the time were cheapest I could find delivered.

If your sticking to 19's then duratracs everyday of the week only tyre I've ever used that comes close to the bfg AT, if you do change wheel size the bfg AT every day of the week by far and away the best tyre I've ever used.

The duratracs are somewhere between a all terrain and full mud but with unbelievable road charactetiscs for such and aggressive tyre, knock the generals into a cocked hat.

The AT3 beat the KO2 in a recent LRO tyre test, IIRC.

Fitted AT3 tyres to our D3 and drove to deepest Wales to then drive off road and on road over last Bank holiday weekend.
They were great.
Whether it was mud, rock, shale or tarmac, they performed effortlessly.

Would highly recommend.

Pirelli tyres in garage....may sell or keep ???

Just bought a set of duratrac from tyre leader. £120 a corner mail order. Very pleased with the price and should be with me on Thursday, I will give a review on them soon as I'm travelling to Scotland to work at 33 sites all on top of hills with various terrains, including the hours of mind numbing m6 and m74 Big Cry
