Big thanks to Uncle Ray (RLD)
Not sure how many sump plates of Ray's have made the journey to the states. But I have to say thanks to RLD for his work in making this front sump plate. Overall experience was outstanding. And...the shipping time was unbelievably fast. Very pleased with the result and the price. Cheers Ray.
My only change was to swap the hardware for stainless and zinc coated nuts/bolts. The moisture and clay here in Georgia, USA is notorious for getting into components.

Well Gents...I hope this thread did not start a war. FWIW - Ray and I discussed making this plate a couple of weeks before the holidays. After, a thread was started on the Landroverworld.com forum about a group buy. I had mentioned Ray's work and there was some interest. With that said, my replies were requested and I have no affiliation with RLD or his work.
Just happy to help a fellow Land Rover lover. That is all. And in my personal opinion, someone who steps up in a personal way to help others deserves my time and respect. So, i was happy to post this thread to thank Ray for his work.
If I may hijack your thread slightly, I would also like to thank Ray for the Sump Plate and Spare Wheel Plate, although due to the inadequacies of DHL yours got to you before mine got to me and they were posted at the same time I think
All fitted, all looks good, will post some pictures soon
Thanks Ray

Hi Biggs,
Where're you at in Georgia?
I spent my teen years in Stone Mountain (Redan High), and my parents took flight to Grayson in Gwinnett County and live there now.
It's really sad, but I get when I hear Ray Charles singing "Georgia".
(If you ever see an aging redneck with his shirt off and singing along to Elvis's American Trilogy at the top of his lungs at the Stone Mountain Laser Show, come over and say "Hey".)
