Scared the crap out of us! No swearing. As always, it happened at 59 seconds of the 1 minute slice that Blackvue records, so the only sound is my exclamation!
I'll get a dent pic in a minute.

Doesn’t show up well on white. I think you can just about make out the bird shaped impression.

I’m not sure if it will need a claim. Got a friendly ‘Mr Dent’ local who will probably do it fairly cheaply. No paint cracks or sharp bends, just a smooth depression.
Got a few door dings and stone chips to sort, so will see what occurs before involving insurance.

Ouch!
For smooth round dents like that i've just used a window sucker in the middle before now and pull it out. I have one of those things for lifting glass panels. Even a bog plunger can work. As long as there are no folds or small dints it should just pop out.D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

I had something very similar with a pheasant that hit my roof. I was only doing 60mph, but it still left a dent.
I got a dent man out. He took down the sunroof / interior light trim to get to the inside of the roof. Once he'd finished you just couldn't see that it had ever been dented - although he said that there was a bit he couldn't quite get to properly because a bit of roof reinforcement was in the way.

Once hit a woodie with my crash helmet at about 50 mph on my motor bike on a country road. Saw it about to happen and lowered head and prayed. Well you do when you lower your head don’t you? B......y heavy things. More of a glancing blow fortunately.2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. Sadly gone. Second last LR of forty eight years continuous ownership.

I had a pigeon hit the front of my Ford Sierra on the M4 back to Swindon, dented the front of the bonnet. As it was a company car and they only had a GBP 150 excess I had to fill in an accident claim form for the insurance.
Sketch of the accident site - 6 lanes of M4 and a pigeon flapping about, my car, feathers everywhere
Were there any injured parties - yes, the pigeon
Were the injured parties taken to hospital.....
